Type Locality and Naming

Along the Aksaray River, West Fergana. S.A. Nesmeianov, 1965 (324, p.103). The use of The stratigraphic name is not recommended, as it combines a series of different-aged and different-facies suites of Fergana - Bahmal'skaya (gypsum-bearing), Obchakskaya, Akchopskaya.

Synonym: Aksarayskaya Suite, Аксарайская св., Aksarai suite


Lithology and Thickness

Along S.A. Nesmeianov, it includes: 1) pale variegated (northwest gypsum-bearing) t. - rock salt, gypsum, marls, clays, siltstone (aleurolites), sandstones, thickness up to 2000 m; 2) brown t. - conglomerates, sandstones, clays, siltstone (aleurolites), thickness up to 200-1200 m; 3) pale t. - conglomerates, sandstones, siltstone (aleurolites), thickness up to 600 800m.
